Just read a story that a private weather forecasting company was predicting a cold snap next week, said we could see our first frost of the year.

This was enough to drive corn prices up under the assumption that an early frost would hurt corn yield.

Looked at some of the other forecasts, most only went through the weekend or Monday or Tuesday of next week, all showed the coolest night as about 47 degrees.

Now it could freeze, the record books show we are already by the historic earliest frost. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Mother Nature does to us.
